Ever-consistent galloper, Tampering has won another Midway race first up at Rosehill on 26 March 2022 over 1300 metres on the extremely heavy going surface.   He had jockey, Tom Sherry on board for the journey and they jumped from barrier 2.

“Patrick” has outstanding first up form and, again, did not disappoint.  He jumped well from the good draw and was able to park up into about 4th the rails on settling down.  He worked superbly during the run and ambled up to the leading pair nicely approaching the turn into the home straight.  Tom took the rails run on tampering, saving some valuable ground on the heavy track.  Tom was able to click him up and Tampering showed a good acceleration to close the gap on the leading pair quickly.

Tampering took the lead and never looked in doubt, extending away to win by about 2 lengths to Two Up in 2nd position and Enduring Night in 3rd.

This was another great midway win first up for Tampering.  It is such a great thrill to be able to get another win on the board for the Illes family and no doubt there are more to come with “Patrick”.  Congratulations!!

As always, thank you ton my staff for all the hard, consistent work that you carry out each and every day.

Thank you to Bradley Photographers for the picture.
