Super One Filly, Sherwood’s One has won her second race from only eight starts after winning the 1460 metre BM58 race at Queanbeyan on 28 March 2022. Adrian Layt took the steer and they jumped from barrier 5.
The filly jumped out of the gates cleanly and Adrian encouraged her to push up and show some nice early speed, enabling her to park into a nice position running second. She travelled well for Adrian.
Coming up to the turn, you could see she still had plenty left in the gas tank. She travelled up strongly to the leader and was able to skip away nicely just after straightening up to commence her run down the straight.
Although slightly new down the straight and wanting to have a little look around, she proved too good in the end and extended for a convincing win to Howgoodisvegas in 2nd and Zariz No Other in 3rd.
Congratulations to her owners Pete and Kooringal Stud. She is a lovely filly and we hope to see many more wins to come from her.
