Super One filly, Sherwoods One, claimed her Maiden win at Moruya on 19.12.21 over 1300 metres with jockey Jeff Penza taking the steer.
The filly jumped well with the rest of the field and showed some nice early pace but was kept three wide for the duration of the run.
At the turn into the straight, she swung wide and commenced her run.
The filly showed great tenacity and will to win, stretching out over the last 50 metres to hold off the field and secure the win in impressive fashion and especially after running three wide the trip.
