Poseidon Jewel was able to lock down her Maiden Win on 19 May 2022 in the 1400 metre race at Hawkesbury on 19 May 2022 with jockey, Tommy Berry on board.
After jumping positively, Jewel was driven forward by Berry from the wide barrier to take on the challenge for the leading position. After some early work, Jewel was able to secure the leading spot.
At a good gallop in the race, Jewel drew away with another 3 or so runners from the trailing pack and was the pace was genuine.
On the turn, Jewel was still out in front on her own. She had all the work to do down the straight to make sure no challengers were to get past her and that she did. The statuesque mare drew clear nearing the line to win in impressive style from Superargo in 2nd and Tiva Bay in 3rd.
