What a thrill it is to write this post.
It’s been a whirlwind of emotions this past week and how amazing it was to have our marvel, Think it Over aka “Sid” take home another Group 1 after winning the Verry Elleegant Stakes on Saturday 2 March 2024 at Royal Randwick Racecourse in front of an amazing crowd with his buddy Nash Rawiller on board for the race.
We had no doubt that Sid would put in a remarkable performance and he most definitely did. Again, another superb ride from Nash to go against the grain and put Sid in the seemingly unwanted position of towards the inside rails down the home straight. He was able to make sure Sid had every opportunity after turning into the straight, saving as much ground as he could. Nash’s ability to think critically under immense pressure is second to none. We cannot thank you enough Nash for all you have done for Sid and for his connections and us here at the stables.
To put it plain and simple.. Sid is just a bloody good horse and it sure has been a thrilling ride thus far. After coming back from a possible career ending injury to then go on to win another Group 1 says it all about this horse and what a fighter he is, now having amassed more than 8,400,000.00 in prize money and bonuses!
Biggest congratulations to owner, Richard Johnston and his loved ones for the victory on Saturday. It was great to spend the day with you guys.
