On 28 November last year, 4y/o Casino Prince Mare, Jessandi took home the win in the 1600 Metre race at the beautiful Sapphire Coast. She had apprentice Jockey, Jess Del Frari on board for the race and carried 55 kilograms.

The field jumped well after the gates crashed back and Jessandi ended up in about a mid-field position, albeit three wide. She was forced to race three wide for the journey of the race up to the turn.

Jessandi looked strong at the turn into the straight and she commenced her run towards the outside of the field. After hitting the front at the 200 metre mark, Cider Bite kept her honest and she showed a great will to win and kicked away to win by about 1.5 lengths to Cider Bite in 2nd and Jauhera in 3rd.

It was a lovely performance and we hope there are many more wins in store for this mare.

Congratulations to connections and to my staff for preparing this mare so well for this race.

Thank you to Jess Del Frari for the patient ride on Jessandi and also thank you to Bradley Photos for the photo.
