Stable Star, Think it Over (5 y/o gelding by So You Think, out of Personal Service) caused a boil over after winning the Group 3 Liverpool City Cup over 1300 metres at Randwick on Saturday, 27 February 2021 at very juicy odds of $51. The mighty Glen Boss took the ride and they jumped from barrier 1.
Think it Over jumped cleanly from the gates and was able to show some early toe to hold a nice position on the rails, just trailing the leading pair by about two lengths.
Think it Over travelled superbly for Glen. He looked comfortable during the run and was not fired up or over racing.
At approaching the turn, Think it Over was able to tack closer to the leader and Glen stayed close to the rails down the long straight home.
Think it Over was in a dog fight down the straight and had many challengers breathing down his neck, trying to get their heads in front of his. He showed great fortitude and pushed himself through his gears, showing a great will to win first up over a fast finishing Criaderas in 2nd and All Saints’ Eve in 3rd.
