The gutsy racehorse, Equilibrist, was able to give owner / breeder, Richard of Bylong Park, a winning double on the day at Kembla Grange on 29 August 2026, after winning firstly with Rhythm of the Rein, the new Bylong boy on the scene, and then again, with the older boy who has been around the traps plenty of times, Equilibrist.
Equilibrist engaged in a nail-biting battle down the home straight, managing to fend off Cabbucio in 2nd and Papa Blue in 3rd, pulling away for a one length win, which takes his career stats to 35 starts for 5 wins and 4 minor placings and a prize money kitty of nearly $200,000.00, including bonuses.
There were celebrations at the stables, seeing him get back into that winning stall, once again. Well-deserved!
Thank you to his jockey on the day, Lee Magorrian for the ride and getting him over the line.
