We are thrilled with Well Timed’s (‘Nick’) city win at Royal Randwick Racecourse on 21 September 2024 over the 1400 metres in the BM78 race with jockey, Nash Rawiller taking the steer.

‘Nick’ ran mid field throughout the race.  The field was well strung out for the duration of the run.  He was able to sit one off the fence for the race, Nash ensuring that he was able to get a clear run after turning into the straight, which he did.

‘Nick’ was able to show a lovely turn of foot after coming out of the rise down the home straight.  When Nash asked him to give, he let down nicely to take home the win, beating home Sharp Shock and Thunderlips by about a length.

Well Timed’s race record now stands at 11 starts for 4 wins, 2 seconds and 2 thirds.

This horse keeps excelling with every task we set to him.  He was a great tenacity to win and we are hopeful to see him go on to bigger and better things.  But, as we know, (thanks Bart!) patience is the cheapest thing in racing, we will let ‘Nick’ guide us from here.  ‘Nick’ has now gone for a well-deserved break and we can’t wait to see him back in the stables after his freshen up.

Big congrats to his wonderful owner – Richard Johnston (Bylong Park).

Thanks to my staff as always.  Also to Nash for a brilliant ride, as always and to Bradley Photographers for the winning picture.
