It’s been a long time coming for her patient owner, but, happily, Faye Runaway (Astern x Encenito) has secured her maiden win at Newcastle on 14 August 2025 in the Class 1 race over 1880 metres. She had the young, talented hoop, Braith Nock on board.
Fay Runaway was quickly up into second outside the leader shortly after jumping. She got a nice run. She looked strong and determined when turning into the straight. She moved up to the leader and commenced her run down the straight and proved too strong for the field and was able to take home her well-deserved maiden win.
We are thrilled for her owner to get this win on the board. We hope this springboards her confidence and that she will go well at her next start.
