It sure was super to see La Bella Bondi (Pierata x Bondi Blonde) manage to take home the win at Newcastle on 15 February 2025. She has been ultra-consistent this preparation with a string of placings before she was finally able to get the win she has very much deserved. It came in the 1200 metre Midway Maiden Handicap at Newcastle, with Grant Buckley taking the ride.
La Bella Bondi showed great fight during the race, especially over the last 150 metres, where you could see she had a nice little turn of foot late and was able to chase down and overcome the leading horses and win from She Swings in 2nd place and Ballyhoo in 3rd.
We would like to congratulate her patient owners on this win. Its definitely nice to see her finally have her day of success and we hope that her next win is not too far away for you guys.
