The stable have had a cracking run recently- notching up 4 winners in just nine days from 18 July until 27 July. Super proud of my staff who have been putting in the effort to make sure all the horses are in great condition to have them run to their best.
Starting off the first of the four winners with Take You There – what a great story this filly has. She has overcome such adversity from a youngster sustaining a near life threatening accident to storm home in brilliant fashion after she won the Midway 3y/o Maiden Handicap over 1200 metres with jockey Lee Magorrian leading her round at her very first start on her home track at Kembla Grange. We are very excited to see this filly keep developing and be able to move on up throughout her grades.
The very next day being 19 July, We then had Slipstreaming salute for us at Queanbeyan in the staying test over 2000 metres with Nick Heywood aboard. She was able to win thanks to a gusty effort right down the line. This was win number two for our stables partnership with Proven thoroughbreds in just two days!
Then, again, the next day, we had handy little Herb take home the win at Rosehill on 20 July. He claimed the Midway race over 1300 metres with Jason Collett. This horse is such a tough fella and a real trier when it’s Raceday. Super proud of his efforts to take home the win on this day and we look forward to the next win being right around the corner!
Lastly, but not least, we had Close Encounter reign triumphant at Kembla Grange on 27 July for Lee Magorrian after he won the 1300 metre Midway Class 1 handicap. We are thrilled to get his second victory on the board and hope to be back in the winners stall with him again soon.
