Proven Thoroughbreds’ promising staying filly, Elivina was able to break her Maiden status, at only just her second race start, after saluting in the Super Maiden Race over 1500 metres a Newcastle Racecourse on 26 April 2025 in impressive fashion.

By Stallion, Saxon Warrior, unbeaten as a 2yo, and who’s wins included the Gr.2 Beresford Stakes, the Gr.1 Racing Post Trophy, then going on to claim the Gr.1 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket, making him a prolific miler.

It was a gun ride on Elivina by jockey, Chad Lever who commented that she “was really strong through the line and is going to improve a fair bit as she gets out in trip.”

Elivina looks like she indeed will relish getting out over a trip, as suggested too by her breeding, and we have high hopes for this filly if all is to go to plan.

We are thrilled she was able to put in a solid fight to take home the win at Newcastle.

Huge congrats and thank you goes to Proven Thoroughbreds for finding this lovely filly. She has a way to go yet, but it does get us excited!! And of course, congrats to her owners as well on the win!
