Well-bred 3y/o Snitzel colt out of the mare, Hindaam, Hinzel has won his Maiden race at only just his first start being the 1000 metre dash at Kembla Grange on Melbourne Cup Day (4 November 2025).
After the jump, the speed was on, and Hinzel was restrained towards the rear of the pack.
At the turn for home, he was stone-cold last with a lot of traffic seemingly blocking any run for a few seconds, but, alas, an opening appeared and, when asked to push through, he did just that! He showed an electric turn of foot and was able to put them all away easily with his ears pricked. With much more to learn about his craft, he looks a promising prospect for Proven Thoroughbreds and we are thrilled with his performance yesterday.
We send big congrats to his wonderful bunch of owners and are excited to see his future unfold.
