Heartlet's Maiden Win at Wyong on 11 October 2018

Oct 16, 2018

Heartlet has ticked off her maiden win at Wyong on 11 October 2018 in the Class 1 Set Weights 2100 metre race. Jockey, Jay Ford took the ride, jumping from barrier 4, carrying 54.5kgs.

Heartlet jumped with the pack and settled on just back from mid-field on the fence. Heartlet settled well for Jay and looked great in the run and then took a sit at the end of the field with company. In a mid-race move from the back, some pace was put into the race and challenge the leader. Towards the bend, Jay gives Heartlet some rein and lets her slide forward. She makes great ground in between horses and, on the turn, she has leveled up with the leading pair and pinches a gap turning into the straight. Heartlet was unchallenged all the way up the straight to secure a win by 4.4 lengths to Lutreola in 2nd and Power From Within in 3rd.

What an impressive maiden win. Everyone at the stables are thrilled and would like to extent our congratulations to long-time stable supportive owners, Deidre and Alex. We hope there are many more to come for you from the big girl, Simone.
