Dark Dreams Wins the Group 1 Queensland Derby

Oct 16, 2018

Dark Dream winning the Queensland Derby has given Kerry Parker his first Group 1 win, albeit well overdue.

Kerry took this 3 year old son of All American from a Moryua Maiden to Group 1 glory in just 7 months.

The efforts and dedication from everyone at the stables involved with Dark Dream's progression through the ranks was second to none.  The passion and enthusiasm was there day in and day out.

Happily, everything ran according to plan in the Derby and Kerry came away with his first Group 1 victory.

Kerry's son, Aaron was sent to Queensland with Dark Dream to tend to Dark Dream on a daily basis and act as a middle man between Kerry and the horse for a lot of the time.  We would like to congratulate Aaron on his success with this task.  Aaron had his efforts recognised by being nominated for strapper of the year.  What an achievement!

Kerry did a remarkable job in the short amount of time he had with Dark Dream.  It was great to see that all the long early mornings and days paid off.

Dark Dream was sold to Hong Kong to continue his racing career there.  All at the stables would like to wish him all the best for his future racing career.
