3 Year Old Dark Dream Wins Debut Run at Moruya

Dec 01, 2017

3 year old son of All American won his debut race at Moruya on 21 November 2017 in race 2 being the 1425 metre maiden with jockey Jon Grisedale on board.  Dark Dream jumped from barrier 5 with the weight of 58 kilograms.

In this race, the well backed Jarrett was the short price favourite racing from the inside draw, with Dark Dream being a roughie of the field.

After the jump, Jon found himself travelling 3 deep on the debutante.  Jon had no choice but to take Dark Dream forward for the journey of his run.  Jarrett kept Dark Dream one off the fence the entire trip.

At the turn, Ultraviolet accelerates to join both Dark Dream and Jarrett in a line of 3.

Dark Dream and Jarrett drew away from the rest of the field and fought it out to the line, with determined Dark Dream getting the better of the favourite at the line.  What a great result for this young horse on debut!

Together with The Houso, this gave us a double win for the day at Moruya.  An excellent result for all at the stables.

We would like to congratulate the breeders, Mary Jane and Jess on the great result.  Hopefully many more to come for you both.
