Virgilio Runs Home for 2nd Up Win on Home Track

Jul 24, 2017

Virglio has won over the weekend at the Kembla Grange meeting on Saturday, 22 July 2017 in the Class 1, 1200 metre race with Jockey, Brock Ryan taking the ride.

Virgilo was set with the hard task of carrying 60 kilos and jumping from an undesirable barrier 10.  However, going in to the race, Virgilio looked a picture of health and our hopes were high that he would run a good race.

Virgilio jumped well from the barrier and, under the urgings of Brock, he moved up to take a nice sit off the leader, So Hard To Catch.

At the straight, Virgilio runs up and issues a challenge to the front runner and at about the 200, Virgilio takes the lead and storms home for a great win, beating home Snowden's Bukzel and Mark Newnham's So Hard To Catch.

We are so happy with Virgilio's efforts this weekend and we are excited to have him back in the stables for another outstanding prep.  Thank you to Brock for a great ride.

Big congratulations to long time supporting owner/breeder, Albert.
