Red Dream Wins at Queanbeyan on 14 May 2017

May 18, 2017

What a fantastic win to Red Dream in the 2000 metre BM55 race at Queanbeyan on 14 May 2017.

Third up after over a year off!

Red jumped from barrier 9 carrying the top weight of 60.5kgs.  He got back in the field and settled into the race well.

The pace was slow up front and Little Miss Chelsy got itchy feet and took to the lead to increase the tempo.

Red was checked at the turn and then found himself running into a wall of horses all the way down the straight, seemingly with no where to go.

His opening came at the 50 metres and he made his move, peeling to the outside and sticking his nose in front on the line in a nail biting finish, beating home Little Miss Chelsy and Pradier.

Super Ride from Nick Souquet.

It was great to see Red take a win on a good 3 rated track, as he has, in the past, performed best on heavy tracks.  Nice to see him race well on a firm track.

Congratulations ladies, we know this win means a lot to you both. Well deserved win!
